Elizabeth 's Story
I retired in 2006 after 30 years as a nurse at Hazard ARH. My husband Doris had to also retired early in 2008. He had worked in surface mining for 40 years. He had emergency surgery from an Aortic Dissection to save his life. Then in October 2009 he had to have another surgery on his Aorta and during surgery his blood supply got cut off from his spinal cordand he was left paralized from the waist down. He is doing well. He got about 8-10 inches of feeling back. We thank God everyday he is alive. We have 2 daughters and 1 granddaughter and 3 grandsons. The grandchildren are fro...Expand for more
m 13 to 17 years of age. They keep us busy. Two of the grandsons are heavily into sports. They play basketball and football and did play soccer. The other one is into hunting and fishing. Our granddaughter will be a Senior in high school this fall. We will then have 3 in high school. I remember alot of people from Annville. I enjoyed going there to school. I made alot of friends and I've often thought of what happened to them. I see Mary Lou and Betty Sue Melton often. I wished they had reunions. This year would have been our 40th one. I would like to hear from some of you.
